Carrying on its leading role in the market since the day it was founded and tracking innovations in the world, KoçSistem has reshaped its structure in compliance to those developments and according to market requirements over the years.
The dealership agreement concluded with the US based Borroughs corporation in early foundation times was later enlarged; and upon consolidation of its presence in the computer business, the company changed its name to Koç Borroughs in 1953. After having operated under this name for more than thirty years, Koç Borroughs took the name Koç-Unisys in 1987 following the merger of Borroughs with the Sperry company and taking the name Unisys.
Upon the proliferation of brands in its product range in the following ten years, the company altered its name Koç Unisys to KoçSistem in order to comply with its shifting vision for system integration projects and providing of brand-independent solutions.
Latest Developments
Within the frame of the “Law # 5746 on the Support of Research and Development Activities” KoçSistem was granted permission for establishment of the “fifth authorized R&D Center in Turkey” in 2009 where research, development and innovation studies are currently carried out by nearly 100 R&D engineers in the information technologies area. The first product developed as a result of those studies has been the Pixage – a digital signage software.
Pixage has achieved remarkable success in a short time. Within the frame of the “New Generation Digital Signage” cooperation with Arçelik Co., KoçSistem created a new signage model through Pixage and Arçelik hardware. Installed in almost 500 Arçelik and Beko dealers in 2009, the Pixage was also opened abroad as the contents of Liverpool FC TV are broadcasted on Pixage through the Beko TV sets. Pixage installations are completed in stadiums of 20 British soccer clubs in the English Premier League.
Founded as a manufacturer-independent platform where new technologies could be tested and positioned as a technology center bearing software and hardware of the biggest manufacturers in the world, the “KoçSistem Stage” has been put in service of the business world in 2009 in order to provide an opportunity to test the products and solutions for the corporations which are planning technology investments.
KoçSistem Call Center Outsourcing Service Group became a company with the name “Callus Information and Communications Services Inc.” On September 11th, 2009.
As the Callus Call Center Outsourcing Services Operation Center, located in Çamlıca Business Center, attained an occupancy rate of 90% ; an investment decision was made for establishing an Operation Center in Anatolia. Upon this decision, an Operation Center was opened in Samsun in May 2010 which would create almost 850 jobs.
With the corporate vision of being the most valuable call center of Turkey; Callus combines its services in for main headlines – incoming calls, Outgoing Calls, data cleaning and data entry. These services are provided through subheadings such as customer satisfaction and complaint management system, technical assistance desk, interactive sales and marketing services and market research and customer data management.
KoçSistem has successfully applied the “Solutions for Struggle against Combating Money Laundering” and “Fraud Prevention Solutions” as the most important applications for corporate risk management in İş Bank, Akbank and Yapi Kredi Bank.
As for corporate risk management services, KoçSistem also provides Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Services to many customers over the internationally accredited Data Centers in Ankara and Istanbul.
